Are you looking for that different, intimate setting and location for an extraordinary getaway experience?
Whether you want to kick back and enjoy a midweek or weekend Getaway or create beautiful life-long memories of your daytime Wedding, St Joseph’s Guest House and Function Venue is for you. Located in the MacDonald Valley, just 90 minutes from the busy hub of Sydney, this venue can offer you the peaceful mid-week or weekend stay that you are looking for. We offer plenty of grassy areas for a quiet sojourn with nature; or a BBQ with a view on the outdoor deck; or an intimate meal inside the church rich with history – the occasion is totally up to you!
Since its opening in 2014, the Guesthouse has received a number of both heritage and magazine awards. It is gaining popularity as an ideal venue for private getaways or intimate functions including anniversaries, special birthdays, hens nights, bucks weekends etc. and has received glowing praise as an exquisite venue for weddings.
Accommodation options range from a single person sleeping in a king bed in a sumptuous room for a minimum of two nights through to a group of up to ten people booking the whole venue for two or more nights. Excluding events and weddings, the basic rate is $300 per night per room (plus a cleaning fee) with a minimum stay of two nights.
Staying at St Josephs Guesthouse does not include catering, however you have several choices including:
- go out and enjoy any of the cafe or restaurant establishments in the Valley
- bring your own food and drinks or organise someone to prepare meals for you – that way you have exactly what you want within your budget
- hire professional caterers – you will be onsite to guide them in their setup and service (see our Suppliers page for suggestions)
Our Suppliers page has a selection of suppliers and services that you may find helpful to take the worry and stress out of planning and hosting your event.
We hope the photo galleries and videos on this page will provide some inspiration as to the possibilities of spending time with family and friends in the presence of a deeply spiritual Australian history.
