Things to do

The level of activity that may be of interest to our guests ranges from a quiet weekend (curled up reading a good book or perhaps a picnic by the river) through socialising at the Guesthouse or either of the local pubs to bush walking / bike riding / horse riding / 4x4 exploring. There is a variety of outdoor sports (golf, bowls, fishing, skiing) within a fifteen minute drive. Sections of the Great North Road built by the convicts are still accessible to the history enthusiast. The 166yr old sandstone pub at St Albans is accessible by bitumen road and over the oldest iron and wood bridge still in use in NSW. The furnishings and surroundings at the pub provide a glimpse of life over 150yrs ago.

There is an old graveyard site beside the Guesthouse that belonged to the original lot of land granted for the church.  There is plenty of pioneering family history to be found while exploring the headstones.

The choice is yours.
